5th Grade Explores Local History and Science at the Witte Museum
The 5th grade students of Somerset Academy Collegiate had a blast exploring the Witte Museum today! The students had the opportunity to learn about the history, science and art of their local area through hands-on activities and exhibits. They also got to participate in interactive workshops that helped them understand the history and culture of their city. The students were particularly excited about the natural history exhibits, which gave them an understanding of the diverse flora and fauna of Texas. They also enjoyed the interactive science exhibits which provided them a chance to explore various scientific concepts in a fun and engaging way. We believe that field trips like this are an important part of a student's education, as they provide a chance to learn outside of the classroom and to see the world in a different way. The students had a great time, and we hope they will remember this experience for a long time to come! Thank you to our wonderful chaperones for making this trip possible, and to the Witte Museum for being such a great host!
