Melissa Castro is an experienced educational leader with 18 years of service within the Somerset Academy network. She began her career as an elementary educator in South Florida at Somerset Miramar and Somerset Davie, both nationally recognized Blue Ribbon Schools, before advancing into instructional leadership at Somerset Key Middle/High School.

Holding master's degrees in Curriculum and Instruction and Educational Leadership, Melissa specializes in curriculum development, instructional coaching, data analysis, and professional learning. She is passionate about supporting educators in refining their practice and fostering high levels of student achievement through research-based instructional strategies.

Melissa is excited to join Somerset Academy Collegiate and collaborate with Somerset Academies across Texas. She looks forward to partnering with educators and school leaders to promote innovation, continuous improvement, and academic excellence.

Outside of education, Melissa enjoys traveling with her husband and spending time with her two daughters, who are pursuing careers in veterinary medicine and elementary education.
