Mrs. Tanya Bonillas brings more than 15 years of experience in education and has proudly served Somerset schools for the past 11 years. Throughout her career, she has been dedicated to fostering a positive school culture, supporting student success, and building strong relationships with families, staff, and the community.

Mrs. Bonillas recently transitioned from our Dean of Students into the role of Assistant School Leader for the Lower School, where she is excited to continue serving students and educators in a leadership capacity. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in English Language Arts and Reading and a Master’s degree in Administrative Leadership.

Education is truly a family affair for Mrs. Bonillas. She and her husband are proud parents of four grown children. Two of their children are graduates of Somerset schools, and another one even had the opportunity to teach alongside her for several years at Somerset Collegiate.

Mrs. Bonillas is passionate about creating a safe, supportive, and engaging learning environment where every student can thrive. She looks forward to partnering with families and staff to help students reach their fullest potential.
